New Prime Minister Announced |

Mogadishu,(insidesomali.org), Nur Hassan Hussein "Nur Adde” has been nominated as the new Prime Minister in Somalia, after less than a month his predecessor Ali Mohamed Gedi resigned from office.
President Abdulahi Yusuf announced his nomination at a ceremony held short while ago this morning at the presidential palace in Baidoa, the second stronghold of the Transitional Federal Government.
Nur Hassan Hussein, a former police officer and former Secretary General of the Somali Red Crescent Society and now it’s current Executive director was born in Mogadishu in 1938.
In 1963 he joined Somali Police force where he had attained the rank of Colonel and head of the training department of the Somali Police force.
“I pledge that I will do my utmost to perform the difficult obligation in front of me, by respecting the Somali federal charter” said the new prime minister Nur Adde after his nomination.
President Yusuf issued a decree to nominate Nur Adde as the new premier in Baidoa, the site of the Somali parliament.
